Bush has been given 2 to 3 months by the Iraqi people for this new policy to work. Bush recently ordered 20,000 more troops to go overseas. He recently stated that his last policy didn't work and mistakes were made. The author of this article Clive Myrie of BBC News says that Bush's new policy has to work or some of the Iraqi people will give up on the United States. They are upset that the last few policies have not been working. Some groups say the new policy is a disastorous idea. The Iraqi people are getting sick of the violence.

Even though the Iraqi people are getting sick of the violence, their not doing much about the violence. The author states, "Districts controlled by Shia militias such as the Mehdi army - blamed for much of the sectarian killing - were in essence ignored." The authors shows that they had controll of certain districts, but there were still violence and killings occuring in those districts. Even with more troops, the troops have to be aware of what is happening in their district or else more killings and violence will occur.
Good job Brian this is a good article to show why people in the mideast against bush and his policies and there comments and reasons.
Brian, i'm afraid you missed the point of this project. We have to focus more on the media's portrayl of an issue, rather than the issue itself.
